Bring Go International Products, 6 Bali MSMEs Binaan PLN Mejeng At 4th Sherpa Meeting G20

BALI - Events ahead of the 17th G20 Summit in Bali are getting warmer with the presence of local products made by micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

In the 4th Sherpa Meeting in Denpasar, the BUMN House under the auspices of PT PLN (Persero) brought the best MSMEs including 6 MSME assisted by PLN to appear to enliven the event.

Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications and TJSL PLN, Gregorius Adi Trianto said, the participation of MSMEs is expected to attract delegates from the G20 countries who participated in the meeting, so that local Indonesian products can be known more widely.

PLN through the BUMN House supports the promotion of our best MSMEs in front of the G20 delegation. This is the momentum for local MSMEs to be able to go International without having to go abroad," he said in a written statement, Wednesday, November 16.

He explained that the MSMEs who were also brought to the exhibition in the middle of the 4th Sherpa Meeting agenda included Woodsantara, which is owned by Ni Komang Ita Puspita Dewi.

Presenting handycraft products and various souvenirs made from environmentally friendly materials, his unique works also attracted attention.

Woodsantara, which has been standing since 2018, uses a variety of materials such as teak wood, rattan, and bamboo for the resulting crafts.

Carrying the theme Back To Nature, Woodsantara through its products campaigns for the use of environmentally friendly products to preserve nature.

"We are inspired by nature to produce works that also encourage our buyers to also love their environment," said Ni Komang.

Some of Ni Komang's handicraft products range from unique tricycles from teak wood waste, hand sanitizer dispensers made of teak wood, wooden cups, key hangers, miniature ducks and cars, to makeup cabinet products.

All made of wood that is environmentally friendly and carefully processed so as to minimize waste that damages the environment.

Not to forget, Ni Komang also expressed his appreciation for PLN's support and facilitation for local MSME players to appear in the historic moment of holding the G20 Summit.

Made Liyadi, the owner of the micro MA IRA business that provides meat and vegetarians, also thanked him for his participation in the exhibition attended by G20 countries.

"This is a good opportunity for us to introduce our processed products which are healthy food and halal certification. Abon MA IRA is grateful for PLN's assistance," he said.

Liyadi said that his product has an advantage because this abon is mixed without using MSG or other preservatives.

This makes MA IRA's abon can be enjoyed by all people.

Especially for abon vegetarians, his party admits that this is an innovation in itself. Seeing the many people who choose to be vegetarians, according to him, creates a separate market.

We also have chicken intestines and abon fish that fits the tongue of the visitors. Hopefully, it will be liked and bring in new fans for our business," he hoped.

One of the Japanese delegates, Ema, is very interested in handicraft products offered by PLN's fostered partners.

"His works are very creative and good. I just saw the hand sanitizer dispenser made of wood," said Ema.

PLN's efforts to support MSMEs are also a form of the company's commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles in creating sustainable economic development.

In addition, this is also in line with the direction of the Ministry of SOEs which continues to encourage the achievement of the Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) collaboratively. Moreover, to encourage the growth of MSMEs as one of the pillars of economic growth.
