The Nyential Moment Of The Minister Of PUPR Basuki Wearing A Turned Topi Becomes Jokowi's Photographer At G20 Bali
JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono suddenly became a photographer for President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) while traveling around the Ngurah Rai Grand Forest Park (Tahura), Denpasar, Bali, Wednesday, November 16 morning.
"There is free time as well as he (Minister of PUPR) distributes his photographer hobby," said PUPR Ministry Spokesperson Endra S. Atmawidjaja, quoted from Antara.
President Jokowi deliberately invited the official G20 media representatives around Tahura while waiting for the leaders of G20 member countries to arrive at the location because they were part of a series of events for the G20 Indonesia Presidency.
One of the interesting moments in this activity was the presence of Minister Basuki wearing casual clothes equipped with a cap upside down.
In this eccentric style, Minister Basuki was seen carrying a DSLR camera with a long lens hanging on his shoulder.
Throughout President Jokowi's tour of Tahura, Minister Basuki was no less enthusiastic about the media crew in documenting various moments at that time.
In fact, it is not uncommon for Minister Basuki to be seen fighting for a place with the media crew to get a good and interesting photo angle.
Endra, who is a spokesman for the Ministry of PUPR, said that photography has indeed become one of Minister Basuki's hobbies.
Not only in Tahura, Endra revealed that Minister Basuki had brought his camera since the G20 Summit at Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Badung, Bali, Tuesday 15 November.
Last night, since yesterday he had also brought a camera. When the event was over, immediately took the camera up. Yes, it's his hobby. It's also a big rare event," said Endra.
He continued that Minister Basuki's action as a photographer during the G20 Summit was a natural event and did not need permission first to the Presidential Security Forces (Paspampres).
"There is a Paspampres, I think it might be natural. Maybe it's because of the minister," he said.
However, Endra emphasized that Minister Basuki had completed all his duties in the G20 Indonesia Presidency including the World Water Forum to all bilaterals with South Korea, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Japan.
"Our job has been completed all November 15th. Then he just needs to accompany the President," he concluded.
