Two Security Guards Of PT KAI For Adolescents With Special Needs In Tambora Were Finally Released

JAKARTA - Two PT KAI security guards with the initials DI (25) and SB (20) who were detained by the Tambora Police for the case of beating the child led by the Islamic boarding school were finally released by the police on Tuesday, November 15.

The two perpetrators were released after a case was carried out by the Tambora Police, following the mediation process carried out by the families of the perpetrators and victims on Monday, November 14.

"It's (free). The terms for restorative justice have been met," said Tambora Police Chief Kompol Putra Pratama when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, November 15.

Kompol Putra stated, because all the conditions for stopping the investigation with a restorative justice mechanism based on Perpol Number 08 of 2021 have been fulfilled, then if the investigation has been stopped, the suspects will be removed from detention.

Previously, it was reported that the case of the victim's abuse with the initials AZ (21) was a young man with the need who was abused by two PT KAI security guards which ended in peace. The victim's family and the suspect have mediated and agreed to make peace on Monday, November 14.

However, because the victim suffered from down syndrome, the victim was only represented by his brother.

"The peace statement between the two parties has been received by the Tambora Police. This mediation was witnessed by community leaders in RW 10, Jembatan Besi Village, Tambora District," said Tambora Police Chief, Kompol Putra Pratama when confirmed by VOI, Monday, November 14.
