Australian Open 2022: Dejan/Gloria And Adnan/Nita To The Second Round
JAKARTA - Mixed doubles pair Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja get tickets to the second round of the Australian Open 2022. They beat Nipitphon Phuangphuapet/Poon Lok Yan on the first day.
Dejan/Gloria confirmed tickets to the second round after winning straight sets 21-13 and 21-20 at the Quay Center, Sydney, Tuesday, November 15 at noon WIB.
Apart from Dejan/Gloria, tickets for the second half also got other mixed doubles, Adnan Maulana/Nita Violina Marwah. The pair qualified after beating the representative of the host Pit Seng Low/Yuran Zhang.
In the second round, Adnan/Nita will face representatives of Japan, Yujiro Nishikawa/Saori Ozaki. Meanwhile, Dejan/Gloria met the Chinese Taipei pair, Yang Po-Hsuan/Hu Ling Fang.
Unfortunately, the journey of these two mixed doubles cannot be followed by two other representatives. Amri Syahnawi/Winny Oktavina Kandow and Akbar Bintang Cahyono/Marsheilla Gischa Islami were eliminated in the early stages.
Amri/Winny ran aground after being beaten by Japanese seventh seed Yuki Kaneko/Misaki Matsutomo in a three-game match.
Meanwhile Akbar/Marsheilla returned home after giving up two games in the hands of the Chinese Taipei pair, Lee Yang/Lin Wan Ching.
Indonesia will try to add tickets to the second round in Wednesday, November 16 tomorrow. A total of nine representatives will fight.
The nine representatives are Putri Kusuma Wardani, Christian Adinata, Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani, Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo, Lanny Tria Mayasari/Ribka Sugiarto, Shesar Hiren Rhustavito, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, Tommy Sugiarto, and Ikhsan Leonardo Imanuel Rumbay.
