Meghan Markle, British Royal Most Popular, Beat Kate Middleton And Queen Elizabeth II

JAKARTA - Meghan Markle was asked to be the most popular British royals in the world, according to a survey.

She achieved a popularity score of 14.5 percent, beating Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, who scored 14.4 percent.

Meanwhile, Queen Elizabeth II is closely following with a popularity rating of 14.3 percent, a survey conducted by OnBuy said.

They use YouGov rankings, Google search volume, Royal calendar, and Instagram to assign a popularity score for each British royals.

Although Meghan has been appearing less in public this year due to COVID-19 and moving to the state with Archie and Prince Harry, it seems that she is still popular with fans.

The Duchess of Sussex is in the top position, having a very high average search volume of more than six million monthly searches.

Kate Middleton, who ranks second most popular British royals has the highest number of hashtags and Instagram followers during the study.

Mother-of-one, Meghan, won over the public even though she and Harry announced their retirement as senior royals earlier this year.

Her beloved queen came in third, and had the highest vote on YouGov's popularity survey.

Next up is Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, who is 14.2 percent and 0.3 percent less than his wife.

Prince William is ranked fifth with 13.8 percent.

Despite Megxit (Meghan and Harry's withdrawal from senior roles of the British Empire), Harry beat his brother to fourth on the list.

As for Prince Andrew, Duke of York, the British Empire's least popular royals rank with a low score of 1.2 percent.
