West Java Regional Police Sent Second Summons To Rizieq Shihab

BANDUNG - West Java Regional Police General Criminal Investigation Director Kombes CH Patoppoi stated that his party had sent a second summons to Rizieq Shihab. Rizieq did not respond to the police's first summons in the case of a crowd.

"The second summons (Rizieq Shihab) has been sent," said Patoppoi in Bandung, Friday, December 11.

Rizieq will be examined regarding the alleged violation of the COVID-19 health protocol during his activity which was held in Megamendung, Bogor, on Friday, November 13.

Previously, the figure of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) was planned to be questioned on Thursday (10/12). However, Rizieq canceled attending the summons on the grounds that he was in a state of health recovery.

Even so, the police stated that they would continue the legal process by making a second summons to Rizieq, who is scheduled to be questioned on Monday, December 14, next week.

Meanwhile, Head of West Java Regional Police Public Relations Kombes Erdi A. Chaniago said that his party would first find out if Rizieq was no longer present at the second summons for examination.

"Is it sick or is there any other obstacle, let's see first. The point is, in the future, investigators from the West Java Regional Police will send out a second summons," he said.

Next week, the West Java Regional Police also plans to conduct investigations on West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil and Bogor Regent Ade Yasin.
