This Sugar Daddy Is Kapok Dating Younger Women, Their Money Runs Out Rp. 2.8 Billion
JAKARTA - A former sugar daddy in his 50s has revealed the reason he has stopped dating younger women.
The unnamed founder and CEO of a global software company was divorced for nearly four years when he joined sugar baby dating site Seeking Arrangement.
He started relationships with three women on the dating site. But things became bitter for the anonymous man after a woman who spent 150 thousand pounds (equivalent to Rp2, 8 billion) kept chasing him.
Speaking with Refinery29, the man admitted that something was getting out of hand with the last woman he dated on the website.
"I spent £ 150 thousand dating on the site and about 90 percent of that for the third woman. I bought her a lot of jewelry. I bought her a ring, then she lost the ring or said it was stolen, and I'll buy another one to replace it," he said.
"Then, the rent was a few thousand, plus the security deposit. I know, it's like 'hey man, what are you doing?'"
The former sugar daddy said conventional dating was not suitable for him after his divorce and since he has often traveled abroad for work.
So that's when he thought if he was financially supporting someone as a sugar daddy, he could have a companion when he wanted to.
The businessman then decided to pursue the younger woman after a fun date with his friend's 31-year-old sister. He does not want to date women his age.
He turned to the Seeking Arrangement because he wouldn't be able to find younger women to date on apps like Bumble.
The first woman is "honest" about having sex with him for money, while the second woman wants an emotional connection.
But the third sugar baby she met really pissed her off.
"He is the most dangerous person I think I have ever met. He scares me. He will say anything to make you think he loves you."
He admits the experience "destroyed his ability to believe" and led him to give up on the site. It was also what made him reevaluate his thinking about dating older women.
