Anies Baswedan Hand Over 3 Candidates For Regional Secretary Of DKI, Which Jokowi Choose?

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government handed over the names of three candidates for DKI Regional Secretary to President Jokowi, through the Ministry of Home Affairs. One of the three candidates will replace Saefullah who died some time ago.

These three names have passed a series of tests and are declared to have passed the final open selection by the DKI Pemprov selection committee.

The head of the DKI Personnel Agency, Chaidir, said that the three names proposal was submitted to President Jokowi for the final assessment test process as the basis for determining the SK for appointment.

"DKI has sent three of the best names. Please President Jokowi's final assessment team through the Ministry of Home Affairs to choose one of the best," said Chaidir to VOI, Friday, December 11.

Chaidir admitted that he did not know what form the assessment was made by Jokowi, whether in the form of a formal test or a political decision.

"What is clear is that the DKI selection committee has sent three of the best names for the presidential selection committee test," he said.

Chaidir hopes that Jokowi can choose one of the three candidates for the DKI Regional Secretary until January 2021. This is because the acting term (Pj) of the DKI Regional Secretary will end after three months in office since last October.

"Hopefully, in January we already have a Regional Secretary. If January has not been decided, the Acting position must be extended. However, if the policy there is not approved, there are other considerations, to appoint echelon 1 officials in the Ministry of Home Affairs," said Chaidir.

The following are three names of candidates for the DKI Regional Secretary:

1. Sri Haryati (currently serving as the Regional Secretary for the Economy and Finance of DKI)

2. Marullah Matali (currently serving as Mayor of South Jakarta)

3. Sigit Wijatmoko (currently serving as Mayor of North Jakarta)
