Ahead Of The G20 Bali Summit, The Ministry Of Transportation Prepares Three State Ships In Benoa Waters
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation through the Directorate General of Sea Transportation has alerted three state ships in the waters of Benoa, Bali, to support the safety and security of G20 activities on November 15-16.
The three state ships consist of two navigational state ships named the KN Nusa Penida and the KN Mizan ship, as well as a patrol state ship named KNP Chundamani.
"We have alerted two navigation ships, VTS and SROP at Benoa Port to monitor shipping safety in the waters of the Benoa Lane and the Lombok Strait TSS. The Directorate General of Hubla also deployed the KPLP ship, namely KNP Chundamani to increase supervision by conducting patrols," said Director General of Sea Transportation, Arif Toha in his statement, Monday, November 14.
In addition, said Arif, his party also helped prepare existing infrastructure, such as the Benoa Class II Navigation District VTS and the Benoa Port pier to welcome foreign or foreign military ships wishing to dock.
"Foreign state or military ships before anchoring at Benoa Port, must first fill in data on the E-CAIT (Cleanance Approval for Indonesian Territory) application," he said.
To monitor every movement, continued Arif, his party has established a Poskodal at Benoa Port, in which KSOP Class II Benoa acts as On Scene Comander consisting of all Technical Implementation Units (UPT) in all areas of Bali and its surroundings, as well as Tanjung Perak PLP Base.
"Poskodal sudah ada di Pelabuhan Benoa. Di Poskodal tersebut, kami tumpulkan informasi-information yang penting dari seluruh UPT di wilayah Bali untuk kelancaran KTT G20," pungkasnya.
For your information, the Sanur Port was just inaugurated by President Joko Widodo on November 9. This is done to make it easier for G20 delegates who want to visit Nusa Penida.
