PKB Appoints Six Young Spokespersons To Gaet Suara Millennial Voters
JAKARTA - Chairman of the PKB DPP Ahmad Iman Sukri said his party appointed six young spokesmen as one of the steps to attract millennial voters in the 2024 General Election. The six spokesmans were Didiet M. Fitrah, Nada Fuady, Dira Martamin, Belitman, Nabila Hilary and Dedi Irawan. "The majority in the 2024 General Election are young people but their involvement in politics is very small," said Ahmad Iman at a press conference in Jakarta, Saturday, November 12. He said that the involvement of young people in politics in Indonesia must continue to be encouraged and PKB supports this spirit. Iman gave an example that the presence of young people as members of provincial and district/city DPRDs is only 15 percent so that they are not commensurate with the number of millennials in Indonesia. We are open to young people and open ourselves up to anyone who wants to become members of the legislature, he said. According to him, the younger generation is a motor'' to drive change so that PKB encourages involvement in politics.
PKB politician who is also a member of the PKB faction of the DPR RI Ratna Juwita Sari said the appointment of a young PKB spokesman was a party's response to the increasingly aquatic anxiety of young people towards politics. "Even though we cannot deny that any crucial decisions in Indonesia are still going through a political process, so PKB must represent millennials," he said. According to him, Indonesia has a demographic bonus so that the existence of a young spokesman is a step for PKB to get closer to the needs of the millennials. In the press conference, four young spokesmen, namely Didiet M. Fitrah, Nada Fuady, Dira Martamin, Sarjamin. Meanwhile, Nabila Hilary and Dedi Irawan were unable to attend.
