Achraf Hakimi Critics Spanish Coach Luis Enrique For Not Bringing Sergio Ramos To Qatar World Cup

JAKARTA - Achraf Hakimi criticized Luis Enrique's decision not to include Sergio Ramos in the squad for the Spanish national team which will appear in Qatar's 2022 World Cup this month.

Hakimi, who is currently defending Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) with Ramos, expressed his criticism on Twitter social media. He considers his team-mate to be one of the best defenders at this time.

"Sergio Ramos is the best defender in the world," Hakimi wrote as quoted on Saturday, November 12.

Enrique's decision not to ask Ramos questions. The reason, the 36-year-old player, has impressed with Les Parisiens in recent weeks.

Apart from Ramos, the former Barcelona tactician also did not include Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara. Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is also included in the name that was not brought.

In the squad that was brought, Enrique joined Barcelona's young star Ansu Fati. Another Blaugrana player, Eric Garcia, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Gavi, Pedri Gonzalez, Ferran Torres, is also on the list.

Spain is in Group E with Germany, Costa Rica, and Japan. The 2010 World Champion will face Costa Rica in their opening match on November 23.

La Furia Roja will have a friendly against Jordan on November 17 before starting their first campaign in the four-year most prestigious event.
