The Chairman Of The Corruption Eradication Commission Instructs His Subordinates To Reveal The Fake Sprindik Maker Erick Thohir

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri ordered his staff to reveal the party who issued a fake investigation order (sprindik) bearing the name of the Minister of BUMN.

This order was conveyed to KPK Deputy for Enforcement, Karyoto, because the anti-corruption commission never issued the letter.

"I never signed the letter. I ordered the deputy for enforcement to reveal who the perpetrators were," Firli told reporters, Thursday, December 10.

This investigation, he continued, needs to be done immediately to prevent unwanted things.

Explaining the same thing, Acting KPK spokesperson for prosecution Ali Fikri emphasized that his agency had never published the sprindik.

In addition, he appealed to the public and state officials to be aware of parties acting on behalf of or claiming to be KPK employees.

"If the community and local government face parties asking for money, facilities or extortion in any form, immediately report it to the local police and inform the KPK," he said.

Previously, a KPK investigation warrant (sprindik) was circulated dated December 2, 2020.

The Sprindik, who was later called a fake, was signed by KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri.

In this letter, it was stated that a number of investigators including Novel Baswedan were given the power to investigate the alleged corruption case in the procurement of the COVID-19 rapid test tool through PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (RIN) by Erick Thohir as Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).

This letter was then responded to by the special staff of the Minister of BUMN, Arya Sinulingga. He asked the spreader of fake news regarding an investigation warrant (sprindik) related to the alleged corruption against the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir to be prosecuted immediately.

"So, what is circulating is clearly a hoax. We hope that those who create or disseminate this can also be legally processed because they have spread a hoax news or material," said Arya Sinulingga as quoted by Antara, Thursday, December 10.
