Twice Failed To Fulfill The Calls Of Investigation, West Sumatra Cagub Mulyadi Will Be Arrested By The Police
JAKARTA - Bareskrim Polri will issue an arrest warrant for West Sumatra governor candidate Mulyadi. Because Mulyadi never fulfilled the investigation after being named a suspect.
"Furthermore, issuing a warrant for carrying and arresting," said the Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Andi Rian in his statement, Thursday, December 10.
In the case of alleged campaign violations, Mulyadi had previously been scheduled to be questioned by the police on December 7 and 10. But Mulyadi didn't come.
Brigadier General Andi also emphasized that investigators will still submit the investigation files to the AGO. The investigating prosecutor will check the completeness of the file.
"Investigators will still send the case files to the prosecutor," he said.
Previously, the National Police Headquarters named Mulyadi as a suspect. The suspect's determination is based on the results of the case title on Friday, December 4.
In this case, Mulyadi was presumed under Article 187 paragraph (1) of Law Number 6 of 2020.
This case began when Mulyadi became a guest speaker at an event on one of the national television stations, on November 12. At that time, Mulyadi mentioned sentences containing campaigns.
In fact, it had not yet entered the campaign period. This incident was then reported by another candidate, Yogi Ramon Setiawan. The report was submitted to Bawaslu on 17 November.
The police followed up on the report after the Gakkumdu Center agreed that there had been election violations.
