Murka's Twitter Full Of Fake Accounts, New Users In Blue Now Will Block

JAKARTA - Twitter has again changed the rules for its Blue subscription service, after many people abused it. Now, the company prevents accounts from getting blue ticks.

This new rule was announced by the company via the help page, where if an account was created after November 9, 2022, they would not be able to subscribe to Twitter Blue at this time.

Blocking in Blue for a new account seems to be related to what happens after a subscription actually provides a blue tick verification.

Because, Twitter found many fake accounts pretending to be celebrities, brands, and influential people who appeared and made false claims, including fake Nintendo accounts that posted pictures of Mario turning birds and more.

By easily subscribing to Twitter Blue then getting a blue tick, making people quickly realize that they can pretend to be someone else and a blue tick can help them trick suspicious users.

Launching TechCrunch, Friday, November 11, but blocking registration of new accounts from getting a blue tick is a temporary solution to prevent some types of impersonation, but it's not clear how the company will prevent it in the long term.

They will probably try many other things to achieve their goal of creating a fake account.

The social media also added that Twitter Blue is currently only available to users of the United States (US), Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the UK. It is not known for sure when other countries can experience the subscription service.

Previously reported, Twitter had also launched an "Official" checkmark provided for community leaders, but quickly withdrew it and will link it to government accounts and commercial entities first.
