17 Dealers In Sukabumi Are Arrested For A Week, The Mode Of Tempeling A Drug Package In A Specific Place Then Take Consumers

The Sukabumi Police have arrested 17 suspects of drug abuse out of 16 cases revealed in one week in November 2022.

"The circulation of methamphetamine and illegal hard drugs still dominates the disclosure of drug cases. We have arrested these suspects in a number of sub-districts in the Sukabumi Regency area," said Sukabumi Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Pol Dedy Dharmawansyah when releasing the case in Sukabumi, West Java, Thursday, November 10.

He detailed that for the shabu-shabu dealer, five suspects were arrested in four cases.

Furthermore, for 10 cases of illegal drug trafficking, the police arrested 10 suspects, followed by one case of marijuana arrested by one suspect, and one case of illegal liquor trafficking with one suspect.

As for the details, Dedy explained that 71.59 grams of crystal methamphetamine, if it was spent worth Rp. 93 million, 629 grams of marijuana worth Rp. 4 million, 13,183 pills of illegal hard drugs for Rp. 69 million, and 112 bottles of illegal liquor. around Rp. 6 million.

From the results of the disclosure of drug cases during the first week of November 2022, there were two female perpetrators, one of whom was a recidivist in a case of illegal drug trafficking.

Head of the Sukabumi Police Narcotics Unit, Adjunct Commissioner Kusmawan, added that the mode carried out by the suspects was circulating by attaching drugs to certain places.

After the money was transferred, he continued, the suspect only announced the location of the drug storage ordered by his consumers through the WhatsApp application.

The results of the police investigation showed that the suspects got the drugs from the DKI Jakarta and Bogor areas, West Java.

"We are still developing the case to reveal who the drug supplier is to the suspect. Usually these drug dealers have their respective networks," said Kusmawan.

He added that the suspects in the methamphetamine and marijuana dealers were charged with Article 114 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a minimum prison sentence of four years and a maximum of life.

Meanwhile, the suspect in the case of illegal drug trafficking was charged with Article 196 of Law Number 36 of 2009 concerning Health with a maximum prison sentence of 10 years. Meanwhile, the suspect in the liquor dealer is subject to a minor crime of Article 11 of the Sukabumi Regency Regional Regulation concerning Alcoholic Drinks whose sanctions are fines or imprisonment for three months.
