Investigating The Shooting Case Of The FPI Laskar, Komnas HAM Will Summon Jasa Marga And The Kapolda Metro

JAKARTA - The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) formed a team of investigations related to the shooting of six special laskar for Rizieq Shihab's bodyguard that took place on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road.

In this investigation, Komnas HAM will ask for information from the President Director of PT Jasa Marga, Subakti Syukur and the Head of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Inspector General Fadil Imran. Summons are scheduled for next week.

"The team has sent a summons for inquiries to the President Director of PT Jasa Marga and the Kapolda Metro Jaya," said Komnas HAM Commissioner Beka Ulung Hapsara when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, December 10.

According to Beka Ulung, the Komnas HAM investigation team has made a request to a number of parties involved in this case. Among them are FPI, witnesses, the families of the six laskar victims who died, and the community.

"The team also conducts direct field monitoring and is deepening the crime scene," he said.

"This request for information is to complement the various information that has been obtained and is being explored. Hopefully all parties can work together to make the incident clear," he continued.

Previously, the spokesman for the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), Munarman asked the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) to investigate the shooting of six special laskar followers of Rizeq Shihab by the police.

"We will try to report to Komnas HAM openly to conduct investigations. Therefore, the instrument we are asking to move is Komnas HAM," said Munarman.

Munarman said that his party would not report the shooting incident of his staff to the National Police Propam. This is because Munarman doubts the police shootings will be investigated independently. That is why FPI asked Komnas HAM to intervene.

"This is called a gross violation of human rights. Those who commit murder outside of this legal process should be tried by a human rights court," said Munarman.

In response to this, Komnas HAM will form a team to explore various information related to the shooting incident that killed six special Islamic Defenders Front soldiers on the Cikampek Toll Road, Monday, December 7 this morning.

This team, he continued, studied information and gathered facts from parties directly related to the incident. Including, digging direct information from the FPI.

"Komnas HAM through monitoring and investigation has created a team. Currently (the team) is studying information to deepen various information circulating in the public," said Komnas HAM Commissioner for Monitoring and Investigation Choirul Anam.

The National Police Headquarters does not question the steps of the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) to form an investigation team to explore various information about the shooting incident that killed six FPI Special Troops.

Karo Penmas of the National Police's Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, said that the existence of a team formed by the National Human Rights Commission would actually assist external supervision.

"Yes, it's okay, it is a form of external supervision, later we will help, regarding what data is needed," Awi told reporters, Tuesday, December 8.
