Persib Players Are Equipped With Heart Detection Tools To Check Their Fitness Conditions
JAKARTA - Persib Bandung coach Robert Rene Alberts provides the players with a heart detection device to check the extent of their fitness condition when Supardi and his friends carry out independent training at home.
Quoted by Antara from the club's official website, Thursday, Persib began to provide a measurable independent training menu since last week. Unlike before, the Maung Bandung squad was only instructed to maintain a healthy condition.
"We have a target regarding the player's heart rate. That can be a basis for assessing the extent of the players' condition," said Rene Alberts.
Players who have completed independent training are required to report their heart rate results. Later, it will be the basis for the ranks of coaches to see the level of fitness before the players are gathered again on 4 January.
"So, players will be informed every ten days. We will check their heart rate. Everyone has to practice using a heart rate monitor, and the pictures must be sent," he said.
This week the players are given special instructions to do aerobic exercise. Robert positively assessed the individual exercise program that has been compiled. According to him, all players are doing their job well.
After undergoing aerobic training, then the Maung Bandung squad will be forged anaerobic training next week.
"Next week they will continue with anaerobic training. After anaerobic we enter the strength material. We have just started the second week. So currently we are evaluating feedback from players regarding aerobic exercise," he said.
The Dutch national coach hopes that the Indonesian League 1 will actually be held in February according to the plans of PSSI and PT LIB. If it is postponed again, the preparations that have been made so far will only be in vain because it has an impact on the next training program.
"If the league starts in February, we will return to training together on January 4, 2020," he said.
