JAKARTA - The Thousand Islands Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP), DKI Jakarta Province,rescued 11 passengers of the ship who were adrift in the oceans of the South Thousand Islands today.Kasatpol PP Kepulauan Seribu, Atok Baroni Hidayat said, initially the victim informed the situation experienced to service officers 112 which was immediately followed up by launching a rescue team from the Thousand Islands Satpol PP."The Thousand Islands Satpol PP launched a Satpol PP Rescue Team using the Wibawa Civil Service Satpol PP Ship 01 at 05.00 WIB," he explained in Jakarta, Antara, Thursday, October 10.The ship carrying the victim turned out to be experiencing engine problems and died in the waters of the South Thousand Islands.Atok said the evacuation of 11 ship passengers was carried out from the location of the waters near Karang Beras Island, Tidung Island Village, South Thousand Islands. Eleven passengers of the motorcycle taxi boat were finally successfully evacuated and underwent examination and treatment at the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) of the Thousand Islands Regency.According to Atok, the ship initially departed from Pramuka Island pier to Tidung Island at around 04.00 WIB.However, while crossing the waters near Karang Beras Island, the ship's engine died. It is suspected that it was due to bad weather around the location."We were adrift, but we evacuated all passengers to the Thousand Islands Regency Hospital for inspection and maintenance," said Atok.
