JAKARTA - The plan to declare the Change Coalition was canceled on November 10. The reason is that the discussion of the three parties that initiated the coalition has not been completed.
PKS spokesman Muhammad Kholid said a small team consisting of PKS, NasDem and Democrats were still deliberating with an unnamed presidential candidate.
"November 10 proposed by the NasDem Party, we have great respect. However, the discussion in the small team between NasDem, PKS, Democrats and presidential candidates has not been completed," said Kholid. Khalid explained that the progress of the discussion from the small team was one of the benchmarks for the fall of the declaration time. Meanwhile, other factors related to communication within each party are candidates for the Change Coalition. "First, the progress of discussion in small teams. Second, the internal process of each party," he explained.
Meanwhile, PKS, said Kholid, will only report the results of the discussion of the small team to the Syuro Council. After that, a decision will be made.
"For PKS, the results of the discussion in the small team will be reported to the Syuro Council for a decision," he said.
Previously, the Chairman of the DPP NasDem Party Willy Aditya confirmed that it would not become a joint declaration between NasDem, PKS and Democrats on November 10.
He explained that PKS had just held a meeting of the Syuro Council in December 2022 or the end of the year. Meanwhile, Democrats, he said, generally the chairman was traveling to Germany and had just arrived in Indonesia on November 10. "One, PKS will have a meeting of the Shura Council at the end of the year, December means. Second, Mas AHY and his friends just returned (from abroad) around November 10," he explained.
