PDIP: The Victory Of Gibran And Bobby Is Proof That Society Is Not Affected By Dynastic Political Issues
JAKARTA - PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said the political issue of the dynasty did not affect the victory of President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) children and son-in-law, namely Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Bobby Nasution in the 2020 Regional Election.
According to him, their victories in Solo and Medan through the results of quick counts were proof that the community was sovereign and not affected by the negative campaign issue.
"This victory is proof of people's sovereignty in seeing the figure of a regional leader candidate. Both of them show a serious and unwavering spirit and commitment, despite many hindering efforts. For example through negative campaigns related to dynastic politics," said Hasto in his written statement, Thursday, December 10.
According to him, the political issue of this dynasty was a negative campaign strategy carried out by several parties and could not be proud of. The goal is that the community cannot see that both of them have the capacity and ability to become young leaders in the two cities.
"However, Gibran and Bobby did not show the slightest lack of enthusiasm for this matter. Instead, both of them proved themselves to be brave leaders and willing to fight to prove themselves. Both of them continued to get closer, to the community, down to the bottom, as the true strength of the Indonesian nation. It is in line with the direction from Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri who asked all cadres to always be among the people, "he said.
Hasto said that the victory of Gibran and Bobby has added to the list of potential young cadres resulting from the regeneration system. In addition, this victory also proves that the public has optimism that both of them can bring change in Solo and Medan for the better, especially in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
So, the party bearing the bull symbol asked both of them to prove their quality as leaders after being inaugurated. Moreover, both of them have received provisions for good governance and the spirit of anti-corruption through party schools.
"PDI Perjuangan also clearly wants to convey his hopes. That after the definitive determination, Mas Gibran and Mas Bobby will later prove their leadership qualities as regional heads in Solo and Medan," he said.
Furthermore, Hasto asked all parties not to be caught off guard even though Gibran and Bobby had been declared victorious through quick counts. Because, there are still several phases that must be passed before the appointment and inauguration.
"The current moment is important to oversee the process of recapitulation of votes. Watching the recap process is also a form of appreciation by the parties for the people who have flocked to the polling stations," he said.
It is known that apart from Gibran and Bobby, the party bearing the bull symbol also won in Surabaya through the pair Eri-Armudji; in Banyuwangi through Ipuk Fiestiandani-Sugirah; Blitar City with Santoso-Tjutjuk Sunaryo, and Semarang City Hendrar Prihadi-Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu.
Previously reported, the quick count or quick count of Charta Politika shows the superiority of the candidate pair for mayor-vice mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka-Teguh Prakosa. Meanwhile, the independent candidate to challenge Gibran, Bagyo Wahyono-FX Supardjo, is far behind.
Meanwhile in Medan City, the results of a quick count by the Median survey institute showed an advantage while the candidate pair number 2 for mayor-deputy mayor of Medan, Bobby Nasution-Aulia Rachman. Meanwhile, candidate pair number 1, Akhyar Nasution and Salman Alfarisi are left behind.
