TEMANGGUNG - Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy emphasized that people who are not poor but receive assistance from the government, such as the Family Hope Program (PKH) or others, must be ashamed."Not only ashamed of the surrounding neighbors, but ashamed of Allah SWT," he said during a working visit to Temanggung Regency, Antara, Tuesday, November 8.On that occasion, he visited the Temanggung District Office Office, SMKN 1 Tembarak, Integrated Center "Kartini", and the Nahdlatul Ulama Islamic Institute (Inisnu) Temanggung.He said that no one should not be poor but get help and if there are still, they should be ashamed, because God has been given a prosperous sustenance and even pretends to be poor. "Don't do that, God will represent it later," he said.Therefore, he said, anyone who feels unfit to get help and sees his neighbor who is more worthy should immediately report to the regent or village head.According to him, the person must admit that he is no longer worthy of assistance and that he should be a neighbor who needs help."Don't just say that you are poor, God will really make you poor," he said.Therefore, he asked for public awareness so that the target of suppressing extreme poverty in the area must be able to reach zero.In 2024, he said, throughout Indonesia, on the orders of the President, they are no longer allowed to be extreme poor.Muhadjir said the poverty rate in Temanggung was also still 10.7 percent high or still above the national average which was close to eight percent.According to him, the poverty rate in the Ministry of Social's Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) is close to being valid."So it must be ensured that those who get the right to help are indeed people who must be helped, namely the poor," he said.
