Anas Urbaningrum And Former Director Of Garuda Indonesia Emirsyah Satar Were Granted By The KPK To The Indonesian Air Force

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) donated confiscated assets from convicted corruption cases worth Rp30.9 billion to the Indonesian Air Force. The goods were taken from former Chairman of the Democratic Party Anas Urbaningrum and former President Director of PT Garuda Indonesia Emirsyah Satar.

"This handover is part of the spirit of building Indonesia and the enthusiasm to help the duties of the Indonesian Air Force," said KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri in a written statement, Tuesday, November 8.

Anas's assets are located on Jalan Teluk Semangka Block C9 Kavling Number 1, Duren Sawit Village, East Jakarta. Meanwhile, Emirsyah's place is on Jalan Pinang Merah II Blok SK Persil Number 7-8, Pondok Pinang Village, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta.

The KPK confiscated Anas' assets based on the court's decision because they were the result of corruption and money laundering. Likewise, it belongs to Emirsyah.

Firli ensured that the KPK would continue to be committed to managing state assets. This kind of utilization is expected to be one way to optimize the recovery of state losses or asset recovery.

Not only that, this utilization is also carried out to prevent assets controlled by unauthorized parties, reduce maintenance and maintenance costs, and maintain the economic value of looted goods.

In the future, the KPK will open up opportunities for ministries or institutions and local governments to take advantage of looted goods from corruptors. They can rent, borrow, use, or work together.

"To optimize the looted goods of the KPK, apart from through auctions and PSP or grants, in the near future the KPK through the Directorate of Asset Tracking, Management of Evidence and Execution (Labuksi) will start implementing the Utilization of Rampasan Goods (paras) by renting out confiscated assets which will be accessible through the site: paras.kpk.go.id openly and transparently," said Firli.

Receiving assets from the KPK, Air Force Chief of Staff Marshal TNI Fadjar Prasetyo expressed his appreciation. He said this was proof of cooperation between the KPK and other stakeholders.

"This forum is proof of the cooperation between the Ministry of Defense cq (in this case, red) the Indonesian Air Force, the KPK, and the Ministry of Finance according to their respective roles," he concluded.
