The G20 National Committee Makes Balinese Sense If Mobility Is Disturbed By The Summit

JAKARTA The National Committee for the G20 Presidency of Indonesia admits that it will tighten access to community mobility in the main area of Nusa Dua, Bali related to the holding of a Summit (KTT) in the middle of this month.

Secretary of the Ministry of State Secretariat Setya Utama said this effort had to be taken because many important state guests would participate in the annual event.

"Because those who come are also leaders of big countries, of course, please understand to the Balinese and thank you for receiving it well and supporting the preparation until the event takes place," he said in a press briefing quoted on Tuesday, November 8.

According to Setya, the implementation of the examination will begin to be implemented this weekend in connection with the start of a series of agendas until November 16.

"Of course later for the peak meeting on November 15-16 there will be a stricter examination in the conference area," he said.

Regarding journalists' access, Setya said the focus of activities would be centered in the media center with access to the last vehicle to ITDC Nusa Dua.

"Later, after the media center, fellow media will be transported by electric vehicle to A Curva which is the peak of the event. Other vehicles are not allowed," he said.

For information, the implementation of the G20 throughout this year is estimated to encourage employment, including MSMEs, to 33,000 people. Meanwhile, the economic value that can be felt by the Republic of Indonesia for this event reached IDR 7.4 trillion with direct spending of IDR 1.7 trillion.
