Former Little Artist Iyut Arrested For Drugs Rehabilitated

JAKARTA - South Jakarta Metro Police officers handed over legal proceedings against narcotics abuse against former child singer Iyut Bing Slamet through rehabilitation at RSKO Cibubur, East Jakarta.

"Iyut has been rehabilitated since the issuance of the assessment from the South Jakarta National Narcotics Agency," said Head of Narcotics at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Wadi Sa'bani when confirmed in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Wednesday, December 9.

Wadi said, since the issuance of the assessment from the South Jakarta City National Narcotics Agency (BNNK), Iyut has undergone rehabilitation at the Drug Addiction Hospital (RSKO) Cibubur, East Jakarta.

"Furthermore, for the rehabilitation process period of three months in accordance with the program from RSKO Cibubur," said Wadi.

Previously, the City National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) of South Jakarta conducted an assessment of the younger brother of actor Adi Bing Slamet and issued a recommendation for rehabilitation.

The results of the South Jakarta National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) internal assessment stated that Iyut, whose real name is Ratna Fairuz Albar, is a moderate drug abuser.

Wadi said, based on the results of the investigation and supported by the results of an assessment from the BNNK, for the Iyut case then it was delegated to state rehabilitation to get medical and social rehabilitation.

Meanwhile, the ranks of the South Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Detective Unit were chasing a meth seller to Iyut, who was found running away when the arrest took place.

Wadi said that the shabu seller was Iyut's neighbor who lives in the Johar area, Baru, Central Jakarta.

"From the first time, he immediately ran away, supplying his next door neighbor. Knowing there was a crowd, he immediately ran away. We are currently pursuing it," said Wadi.

Members of the South Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Detective Unit arrested Iyut Bing Slamet at his home in the Kramat Sentiong area, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta on Thursday, December 3, at 23.30 WIB.

During the arrest, the police confiscated a number of evidence that indicated the use of drugs in the form of a methamphetamine (bong) suction device, two gas matches, and used paper clips of methamphetamine storage.

The police also conducted a urine test on Iyut who tested positive for metafetamine.

Iyut is known to have been arrested for the same case of methamphetamine drug abuse in March 2011, found evidence of methamphetamine drugs weighing 0.4 grams, and was sentenced to one year in prison.

From the results of the investigation, Iyut has been using methamphetamine-type drugs since 2004 on a continuous basis (recreational users) depending on his financial condition.
