The Beatles Remember John Lennon's 40 Years Of Death
JAKARTA - December 8th is a sad day for all fans of The Beatles. John Lennon died after being killed by a fan named Mark David Chapman in 1980.
Four decades have passed since that dark event. Musicians and Lennon fans reminisce about Lennon's departure by gathering at Strawberry Fields in New York. Some fans uploaded a Strawberry Fields memorial portrait and put flowers on it.

They also got together and sang The Beatles song. CBS presenter, Anthony Mason shared a moment when fans sang I Saw Her Standing There from The Beatles.

Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr also paid tribute via their social media. Paul McCartney wrote, "What a sad day but remember my friend John with the happiness he brought to the world. I will always be proud and excited to work with this great Scouser!"

Paul uploaded his photo with Lennon which was taken by the late Linda McCartney. Ringo Starr did the same and wrote, "Tuesday, December 8, 1980, we bid farewell to John. Peace and love John. I ask all the music radio stations in the world to play Strawberry Fields Forever today."

Lennon's wife, Yoko Ono, gave a speech as well as a warning regarding the use of weapons which is still a major problem in the United States.
"More than 1,436,000 people have been gunned down in America since John Lennon was shot and killed on December 8, 1980." A visual glasses drenched in blood completed the writing.
