Eddie Hearn Shouted At Boxing Fans, Accused Of Being The Cause Of Fury Vs Joshua's Failedness

JAKARTA - A number of boxing fans seem to still hold back disappointment over the cancellation of the fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. Some of them even firmly accused Eddie Hearn of being the culprit.

Joshua's promoter received a "attack" from fans while in Dubai to take part in an event. When discussing the cancellation of Fury's meeting with Joshua, fans shouted: "You pulled it out."

The head of Matchroom Boxing immediately responded. "Oh never mind, I know we will be blamed," Hearn was quoted as saying by The Sun.

Fury is one of those vocals to blame Hearn for the failure of the biggest fight in British boxing history.

But Hearn actually "attacked back" Fury. He accused the deadline given by the King ofTEN was unreasonable.

"Basically what happened was Anthony Joshua lost to Oleksandr Usyk. We all see that mentally it was a very difficult defeat for him," Hearn explained.

"Tyson Fury then appeared on Instagram and provided feedback for AJ and called him out. And AJ told him, 'I want a fight.' Should he accept the fight? Maybe not at that time."

"But in the end, he's his boss and he wants to fight Tyson Fury. We started negotiations with Queensberry, which was actually going pretty well. But when things went well, suddenly, Tyson Fury appeared on Instagram and said we had to sign a contract on a specified day."

However, Hearn judged Fury then to be inconsistent at that time. He also said that the real figure of the boxer from England was finally revealed.

"I think people over the past few weeks have just seen, maybe, a different side of it," Hearn said without elaborating on what side she meant.

The failure to fight Joshua paved the way for the WBC champion to take part in the December trilogy fight with Derek Chisora.

Meanwhile, Joshua chose to rest temporarily and will not return to the ring until early next year.
