Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno Encourages The Young Generation To Become Entrepreneurs And Create Creative Products To Face Recession
JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf), Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno again emphasized that MSMEs have a big role in helping the community, especially tourism and creative economy actors.
Moreover, in 2023 we will face the challenges of recession due to global economic pressure.
"We can see that MSMEs are the backbone of our economy. So next year if someone says our economy is dark, now the flashlight is 85 MSMEs that are in front of us here, at the PAMER event," Sandiaga said while attending the Exis and Creative Youth Week (PAMER), in Sleman, Friday, November 4.
Sandiaga also encouraged young people to have the spirit to become young entrepreneurs.
Creating creative economy products so that they can participate in strengthening the Indonesian economy in facing a global recession.

Furthermore, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy explained that MSMEs have a major contribution to Gross Domestic Product (GDP), namely in 2020 it is 61% and is targeted to increase to 65% by 2024.
MSMEs are also able to absorb 97% of the total workforce. Also collected up to 60.4% of the total investment in Indonesia.
"If 5 percent of young people create businesses, 97 percent of employment will be created." Sandiaga concluded.
Therefore, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy will continue to encourage the creation of young entrepreneurs and strengthen the digital ecosystem through several programs.
