Ganjar Pranowo Gowes Bareng Hundreds Of Athletes At Tour De Borobudur
JAKARTA - Embedding a distance of 138 kilometers, hundreds of bicycle athletes enlivened the Tour de Borobudur event on the first day. Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo also encouraged athletes at the start point of the Mahanan Stadium, Solo.
Ganjar, who arrived early, greeted the participants who came not only from within the country. It appears that a number of cyclists from abroad participated in enlivening the event.
"Some have been practicing for half a day, some have been for one month, and we are giving today the best track," said Ganjar in his remarks, Sunday, November 6.
Ganjar is happy because this year's Tour de Borobudur can be followed by more cyclists. Especially in the first race, which is specifically for professional athletes. They will pass the Solo-Boyolali-Selo-Salatiga-Solo.
"Hopefully ladies and gentlemen can enjoy a very beautiful situation. Good luck, I'm behind you," concluded Ganjar, followed by flag off, a sign of the start of the race.
Ganjar said, through the 2022 TDB, apart from supporting from the sports side, it also supports tourism. Moreover, at every stop, people and villages can be directly involved.
"We take solos as a start and finish for the first race, going around Boyolali because it's a very challenging place for athletes, and of course the scenery is very beautiful," he said.
The route for the second day of TDB, Ganjar continued, is intended for bicycle hobbyists. The distance is 104 kilometers with the Solo-Klaten-Sleman-Magelang route.
"Hopefully it will be an attraction for them too, so that in the midst of feeling people cycling, tired, they can enjoy beautiful views," he said.
He added that cyclists will also be pampered with the village atmosphere, and can interact with the community directly
Maybe people are called in some places, because we are collaborating with several villages. And it will be an ornament of the de borobudur tour atmosphere today," he said.
