Indonesia Mengurang Boyong 2 Holds From Hylo Open 2022

JAKARTA - The Indonesian badminton team has the opportunity to bring home two titles from the Hylo Open 2022 tournament through Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, and Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati who will compete in the final round in Saarbrucken, Germany, Sunday.

The mixed doubles Rehan/Lisa will meet Feng Yan Zhe/Huang Dong Ping for the first time through the top match of the BWF Super 300 category.

"In the final against China, we will play without a burden. We will play more comfortably because tomorrow the opponent will also not be easy," said Lisa, quoted by Antara, Sunday.

'Agreed with his co-star, Rehan also chose to appear focused and enjoy the match. He didn't want to have too high hopes so he wouldn't be a mental burden for his game.

"It's already final, we want to play freely. Don't think about winning or losing. Playing without a burden and still 'all out'," Rehan said.

While in the men's singles, Anthony Ginting will face third seed Chou Tien Chen from Taiwan in the closing match of the Hylo Open 2022 final.

The competition between the third and fifth seed is predicted to be tough considering that the two players have a type of slow game that likes to present rallyes and long passes.

Their meeting score was also only slightly adrift, with a 7-6 advantage that Ginting had held so far since the last meeting at the 2020 Thomas Cup.

In addition to mixed doubles and men's singles, which featured competition between two different countries, the remaining three numbers from the final round featured the title race by compatriots.

The women's singles will feature the "All China Final" between Zhang Yi Man and Han Yue, then the men's doubles "All Taiwan Final" between Lee Jhe Huei/Yang Po THAN and Lu Ching Yao/Yang Po Han, and the women's doubles "All Thailand Final" who played the Jongkolphan Kititharakul/Rawinda Prajongjai pair against Benyapa Aimsaard/Nuntakarn Aimsaard.
