Real Benefits Of Indonesia's G20 Presidency: Mobilization Of Cooperation And Funding At The Global Level

JAKARTA - Indonesia's G20 Presidency will be held in Bali, 15-16 November 2022. This activity is believed to have a tremendous impact on Indonesia.

Head of the Fiscal Policy Agency (BKF) of the Ministry of Finance Febrio Kacaribu conveyed the real benefits produced in the G20 Indonesia Presidency. Among them is mobilizing cooperation and funding at the global level.

"The main factor that we need to see is the real benefits. That was concrete delivery, it can raise fund mobilization and also mobilize cooperation for the world," said Febrio, as quoted by Antara, Saturday, November 5.

He said the mobilization of cooperation and funding would occur on issues, especially those related to health, energy transition, the digital economy to food security.

Meanwhile, these issues are priority issues in the G20 Indonesia Presidency which includes global health architecture, sustainable energy transition, and digital and economic transformation.

On this occasion, Febrio then conveyed that G20 member countries appreciate Indonesia's leadership in the G20 Presidency. Moreover, its implementation is in the midst of economic uncertainty at the global level, after the COVID-19 pandemic and geopolitical conflicts.

He conveyed that the achievement of the G20 Indonesia Presidency is a matter of pride for all Indonesians.

According to President Joko Widodo's direction, Indonesia's G20 Presidency is directed to produce tangible benefits.

In terms of substance, this forum is directed to provide tangible benefits through projects, programs, or initiatives. The hope is that it can become a sustainable lead-examples development for other countries.

Later it will be stated in the Leaders' Declaration on the tax or attachment section and is expected to be able to become Indonesia's legacy for the G20.

Then, from a physical point of view, this forum is directed to have a chain effect on the transportation, accommodation, and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector.
