Gibran's promise to Solo

The candidate pair for mayor and vice mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka-Teguh Prakosa, emphasized the importance of maintaining culture in the city of Surakarta.

“The modern city of Solo cannot stand on the ruins of the old city artifacts. "Traditional markets, art associations, art communities, cultural heritage, these are the pillars of Solo 's strength. This is a magnet for bringing tourists to Solo," said Gibran in the Solo Pilkada debate, Thursday, December 5.

According to Gibran, the son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), the future of Solo is Solo, which is built from the past. Solo continued Gibran must not lose his identity and character.

"We want a cultural approach to fight radicalism. We want that what is now running are the gamelans that have been donated in each village. "Gamelan has not been fully played, I discussed yesterday. In the future, we will look for teachers so that children can learn gamel," he said.

"We will touch this, we will encourage young people to have a love of belonging, have strong cultural roots. So we want a cultural approach to fight radicalism, "said Gibran in the Solo Pilkada debate.

Bajo Ready to Embrace

Gibran Rakabuming Raka's rival, Bagyo Wahyono, is ready to embrace all political parties if declared victorious as mayor of Surakarta in the Solo Pilkada contest.

"If God allows us (Bagyo Wahyono-FX Supardjo) to sit in the city hall, I will also embrace (Gibran-Teguh Prakosa). I also have to protect all political parties," he said after voting at TPS 8, Penumping Village, Laweyan District, Solo, quoted Antara, Wednesday, December 8.

He said he would accommodate all aspirations from the community and political parties.

"Independent (independent path) I fight for the people who need justice. The hope is that whoever wins, can make Solo City even better, I don't know what Gibran is. If I hope to win, 'win without ngasorake' (win without demeaning)," he said.

Bagyo also appealed to his supporters to remain conducive and peaceful because this contestation is for coolness.

"Whoever does and loses must be loyal, make all brothers. There is no clash, friction. We accept any decision, as long as there is no fraud," he said.
