Alfred Molina Returns To Play Doctor Octopus In Spider-Man 3

JAKARTA - The Doctor Octopus character will return in the latest Spider-Man film and is still played by Alfred Molina.

Launching Variety today, Wednesday, December 9, the Spider-Man 3 film, played by Tom Holland, performed a number of character crosses. Doctor Octopus made his first appearance after starring in Spider-Man 2 in 2004.

Previously, there was Benedict Cumberbatch who was confirmed to join as Doctor Strange and then the actor of Electro, Jamie Foxx also reportedly appeared in the third Spider-Man film. Electro is the villain who fought Andrew Garfield in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Jamie Foxx had uploaded a poster showing the three Spider-Man figures staring at the sky with Electro's face. But the post has since been deleted despite raising questions from Spider-Man fans.

The three people who wore Spider-Man costumes made fans assume that the previous Spider-Man cast, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield would participate in Spider-Man 3 with Tom Holland.

Maguire played Spider-Man from 2001-2007 based on the comic book trilogy directed by Sam Raimi. Then in 2012, Garfield continued the role until 2014 in the series The Amazing Spider-Man.

Tom Holland played Spider-Man in 2017 through the Spider-Man: Homecoming film and participated in the Avengers film. His solo film earned 880 million US dollars globally and became the most successful Spider-Man film of all time.

Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man 3 is played by Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, and Jacob Batalon. Spider-Man 3 is set to air on December 17, 2021.
