Viral Employees Forced To Resign Or Change Rp. 30 Million, This Is A Response To The Goods Dept's Boss
JAKARTA - The Goods Dept is busy being a byword on social media.
This stems from information from this concept store which reportedly forced 30 employees to resign or compensate Rp30 million per person.
Responding to this, the Founder and CEO of The Goods Dept Anton Wirjono said that his party was still holding internal meetings with the company. The meeting was to trace the news currently circulating.
"It's still being met. Actually, everything has gone through a process, it's just that it still has to be straightened out. I have already said that the board of directors must have a statement as soon as possible. I will monitor it," he said when met at Plaza Senayan, Friday, November 4.
Furthermore, Anton admitted that he could not confirm whether the brand was The Goods Dept.
This is because he is still waiting for an explanation from the board of directors with the news that is currently going viral.
"I'm still waiting for an explanation from the board of directors, so I haven't dared to make a statement yet, later they will give a statement," he said.
"There will be, later from the board of directors I will be active at the Brightspot even though I am the founder, so they will be classified. I will monitor it," he continued.
As is known, social media was shocked by the news that a local brand allegedly forced more than 30 employees to resign or compensation of Rp. 30 million per person.
Employees who resign are not paid their jobs in the last 1 month.
It is not clear what local brand is meant. However, there are netizens who associate it with The Goods Dept and also Erigo.
This news is known from the story of one of the employees who was uploaded on Twitter social media by an account named @DiahLarasatiP.
The reason behind Diah making the tweet was because after completing the statement and signing the resignation letter, some employees were even reportedly not getting a salary because it was used for compensation from minus the stock opname results.
As for October 19-20, 2022, the store will conduct stock opnames where the results are many minuses.
"We are just informed that we will not get a salary this month. The salary will be used for compensation for the minus result. We were caught in a trap. We were forced to resign without salary for reasons of compensation," the account wrote, quoted on Friday, November 4.
