Preman Mode Pasar Palak Drivers Fruit Trucks In Tambora: Already Given, Come Again Different Thugs

The Tambora Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested two perpetrators of extortion against truck drivers loading and unloading fruit in front of Buah Angke Market, Angke Station Street, Jembatan Lima Village, Tambora District, Thursday, November 3.

The two perpetrators with the initials DH alias Dedi (47) and SG alias gugun (22) were arrested along with evidence of cash worth Rp93 thousand from extortion. The two perpetrators were registered as residents of Jembatan Lima Village, Tambora District.

Tambora Police Chief Kompol Putra Pratama said the extortion mode carried out by the two perpetrators was by asking for parking fees from the victim with the initials SU (34) the driver and loading and unloading fruit in front of Buah Angke Market, Tambora.

The incident occurred on Thursday morning, November 3, at around 01.43 WIB. At that time, the victim with the initials SU who came from Bekasi was carrying out the unloading of fruit. After finishing unloading the fruit, the victim was intercepted by the two perpetrators and forced to ask for money.

"The victims were blackmailed by the perpetrators by forcing them to ask for some money after completing the dismantling of the fruit. The perpetrator DH forced the victim to give money, then the victim gave Rp. 5,000 but the perpetrator DG refused. The victim was afraid, so he gave Rp. 25 thousand," said Kompol Putra when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, November 3.

After giving money worth Rp. 25 thousand to the perpetrator with the initials DH, then another perpetrator with the initials SG reappeared and approached the victim. SG is the same as DH. SG asked the victim for money by force.

"The same mode of SG asked for money. The victim gave Rp. 5,000 but was rejected by SG. The victim was forced to give Rp. 10,000 to SG," he said.

After realizing that he was a victim of extortion, victim SU then went to the Tambora Police to make a report related to the extortion he experienced. After receiving the victim's report, the two market thugs were immediately arrested by members of the Criminal Investigation Unit at the crime scene (TKP). Subsequently, the two perpetrators were taken to the Tambora Police Station to account for their actions.

"Many small communities have become victims of similar incidents like this. Tambora Police have been forced to enforce the law firmly," he said.

As a result of their actions, the two perpetrators are already in the detention cell of the Tambora Police. The two perpetrators were charged with Article 368 (1) of the Criminal Code concerning the crime of extortion and threats. Both are threatened with imprisonment for 9 years for their actions.
