Employees Of Waroeng SS Recipients Of BSU Can Save, Their Salaries Are Cut Into Rp300,000
The Ministry of Manpower (Kemenaker) emphasized that Waroeng Special Sambal (SS) had withdrawn the letter from the WSS Director regarding the plan to cut salaries of IDR 300,000 to employees who received wage subsidy assistance (BSU).
The revocation of the report was discovered after the Manpower Supervisory Team together with the Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) Manpower and Transmigration Office conducted an examination at the DYI Manpower and Transmigration Office.
Director of WSS Indonesia Yoyok Hery Wahyono was also present to fulfill the summons of the Head of Manpower Office of DIY Province on November 3.
The Director General of Manpower Supervision and K3 of the Ministry of Manpower, Haiyani Rumondang, said that the Manpower Supervisory of the Ministry of Manpower was deployed as a form of government attention to cases of public concern related to the cut in salaries of Waroeng SS workers who received BSU.
Haiyani said, it is important to carry out an examination of this case to ensure that the company complies with the provisions of the labor law.
The examination has been carried out since Monday as a series of tasks to ensure the resolution of these related problems.
"And thank God the Director of WSS after being examined and given an explanation, finally consciously canceled the plan to reduce wages for BSU recipient workers. The WSS leadership will not cut wages for workers who receive BSU from the government," said Haiyani Rumondang through a press release from the Public Relations Bureau of the Ministry of Manpower, Thursday, November 3. Haiyani said he was grateful that the plan to cut salaries for BSU recipient employees could be resolved properly.
"Finally, this problem has been resolved properly. The company has understood, agreed, and is committed to no salary deduction for workers who receive BSU," said Haiyani.
Haiyani said that his party continues to encourage all parties to hold social dialogues when problems and problems occur in the company, including those related to BSU.
The problems that occurred in Waroeng SS should be a lesson for all parties so that similar incidents do not happen again.
"I appeal to companies to always communicate with Manpower Offices or the Ministry of Manpower intensely to prevent and deal with potential employment problems. Prevention is more important than dealing with problems that arise. Hopefully, what the company does must be in accordance with the provisions, so that there is no decision that harms any party," he said.
Haiyani explained that BSU is government assistance that aims to maintain purchasing power for workers or laborers in meeting their daily needs due to price increases.
The BSU provisions and requirements have been regulated through Permenaker Number 10 of 2022.
"This BSU is also one of the government's appreciations to workers and employers who have become BPJS Employment participants," he said.
On this occasion, Haiyani also appreciated and thanked the Head of the DIY Provincial Manpower and Transmigration Office for his alertness and speed in taking steps to deal with this problem that is of public concern.
"This is a good example of collaboration and synergy between the central and regional governments in the field of employment in dealing with problems that arise," he said. The reason WSS Indonesia Cuts BSU Employee Salaries
As previously reported, the Director of Waroeng SS (Spanial Sambal) Indonesia, Yoyok Hery Wahyono, confirmed a circular that went viral on Twitter regarding a policy that deducted a salary of IDR 300,000 for employees who received BSU from the government.
"That's true, it's my policy," said Yoyok when contacted by VOI, Sunday, October 30.
The reason is because Yoyok does not want disharmony to occur within his employees.
This reflects on the experience of giving BSU 2021. At that time, said Yoyok, his employees became out of touch because they were jealous of each other.
"The experience of August 2021 because it is not evenly distributed actually causes disharmony. They are not compact and synergistic," he said.
In order to overcome this problem, Yoyok admitted that he had to spend Rp. 1.6 billion to give employees who did not receive BSU from the government.
"At that time we finally broke Rp1.6 billion to give those who couldn't. Each person was Rp500,000," he explained.
On this matter, Yoyok chose more so that there should be no assistance from the government if the distribution of BSU is not evenly distributed to all employees called personnel.
"I prefer that there should be no assistance for my personnel if you don't get it all. After that we built 4,000 people into one family, one line, one command to prosper together was damaged because of direct assistance whose verification we do not understand," he said.
