Check 20 Witnesses, The AGO Is Investigating Allegations Of Rajungan Export Corruption And PT Surveyor Meat

The Attorney General's Office (AGO) is investigating allegations of corruption in the trading-based export credit (SKEPB) scheme at PT Surveyor Indonesia (PTSI).

Head of the Attorney General's Office of Legal Information, Ketut Sumedana, said that investigators had conducted a case title and decided to increase the handling of the case from investigation to general investigation.

"Based on the case title on October 21, it has been upgraded to the general investigation stage, so it is just a general investigation," said Ketut in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Thursday, November 3.

In investigating the case, he said, investigators had examined approximately 20 witnesses and had conducted searches in three places. The search was on 27 and 28 October.

He said the investigation team conducted a search of the PT Surveyor Indonesia office on Jalan Gatot Subroto, then at PT Asuransi Jasaharja Putera.

"Furthermore, the number three we searched at Bambang Isworo's residence (former Director of Operations Surveyor Indonesia)," he said.

From the results of the search, continued Ketut, investigators found important documents related to the case.

"Investigators also confiscated electronic items (BBE) related to this case," said Ketut.

He emphasized that this case is only in the general investigation stage, and it is targeted that in the near future the handling of cases will be increased to a special investigation.

In this case, the Director of Investigation at the Attorney General's Office, Kuntadi, suspected that the Operations Director of PT Surveyor Indonesia, which at that time was held by Bambang Isworo, was doing business activities outside his institution.

Furthermore, the person concerned is suspected of guaranteeing his institution in these business activities. "So, what are the facts? We'll explore it later," he added.

He explained that PT Surveyor Indonesia is one of the SOEs with the initial mission of assisting the government in facilitating the flow of capital goods and equipment to Indonesia.

PT Surveyor Indonesia provides several services in the form of technical examinations, surveys, assessments, supervision assessments, auditing, and consultations.

Its services, said Kuntadi, cover various service fields, including industry, government, regional development, oil and gas, minerals, systems and certification, environment, agriculture, and outsourced management.

Quoted from the official website, PT Surveyor Indonesia is a strategic partner for the government, private sector, and other company work partners to optimize the use of domestic resources and products in the fields of infrastructure, maritime, energy, and food security.

Partners are not only limited to customers when working together, but as sustainable business partners in long-term relationships.
