Increase Investors In Papua, Stock Exchange Invites 1,000 Investment Teachers In The Capital Market
JAYAPURA - The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in Papua invites 1,000 teachers from Jayapura City, Papua to invest in the capital market and become added value for the economy. Head of the Papua Representative IDX Office, Kresna A. Payokwa, said that the capital market school activities for the country together with 1,000 teachers were a form of capital market contribution in increasing capital market literacy and inclusion.
"Because based on investor profile data in Jayapura, the number of investors from the teaching profession is still very low, namely 2 percent," he said. According to Kresna, his party also encourages teachers in the city of Jayapura to be able to understand the investment products in the capital market so that they can become investors in the Indonesian capital market. "This activity is also in the context of the Financial Inclusion Month (BIK) in 2022, where this time we are targeting teachers," he said.
He explained that as of September 2022 the number of capital market investors in Papua reached 60,525 investors with 20 IDX investment galleries spread across various agencies. "For this reason, we hope that through the Capital Market School (SPM) activities for the country it is targeted to increase the number of capital market investors in the city of Jayapura," he said. Meanwhile, Acting Jayapura City Regional Secretary Robby Kepas Awi said his party gave appreciation and it was hoped that teachers would understand and understand well, and could teach good materials for students at school. IDX Papua held a capital market school for the country with 1,000 Jayapura city teachers which was carried out in a hybrid manner at the Sian Soor Multipurpose Hall of the Jayapura Mayor's Office.
