POM Lantamal XIV Urges To Arrest Fake TNI AL Members With Toy Guns
SORONG - Military Police at the Lantamal XIV Navy Main Base, Sorong, West Papua, arrested a man who made a fuss and claimed to be a member of the Indonesian Navy.
The commander of the Lantamal XIV Military Police Lieutenant Colonel (PM) Golkar Nowo Pamiloto confirmed the incident. He said the man, known as THA, caused trouble and claimed to be a member of the Navy, but he turned out to be a civilian.
The perpetrator made a commotion in a cell phone shop in the Remu Sorong central market and called himself a member of the Indonesian Navy, so the public was restless and reported it to the Military Police.
Based on public information, the Lantamal XIV Navy Main Base Military Police team immediately went to the field and put the perpetrators into practice.

Then the perpetrators were brought to the POM Lantamal XIV Sorong Command Headquarters to be examined and asked for information, but the person concerned was not a member of the Navy.
Evidence of a plastic toy gun along with a gun holster and three ammunition were seized.
Because the man's actions harmed the TNI institutions, especially the Navy, the perpetrators were handed over to the Sorong City Police Resort to undergo further legal proceedings.
"The perpetrator has been handed over to the Sorong City Police for further action to account for his actions," said Golkar Marine Lieutenant Colonel (PM) Nowo Pamiloto as quoted by ANTARA.
