Starting December 15, Batik Air Will Serve Flights To Japan Via Medan To Makassar
JAKARTA - Lion Group through Batik Air continues to spread its wings as the aviation industry begins to recover.
The airline owned by Rusdi Kirana will serve flights to Narita, Tokyo, Japan through several airports in big cities from Medan to Makassar in December.
Corporate Communications Strategic of Batik Air, Danang Mandala Prihantoro said tourists and business people from Japan have more opportunities with alternative domestic destinations in Indonesia based on flight options.
"Starting December 15, 2022, the first flight to the dream destination is Tokyo Narita via Tokyo Narita International Airport, Japan (NRT)," he said in an official statement received by VOI, as quoted on Wednesday, November 2.
Danang said, this scheduled international flight offers the convenience of flying from Indonesia through the city of origin and the main hub airport, consisting of Medan Kualanamu International Airport in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra (KNO).
Then, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten (CGK).
Then, Juanda International Airport Surabaya in Sidoarjo, East Java (SUB).
Next, I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar, Bali (DPS) and Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport in Maros, South Sulawesi (UPG).
"This new international route was introduced along with the momentum of International Aviation Day (commemorated December 7), in an effort to establish wider connectivity to facilitate the mobility of tourists and business people, as well as to support interregional and interstate logistics traffic (movement)," he said.
Danang said Indonesian flights to Japan, Tokyo Narita provide benefits for business people and tourists with a network (route and flight schedule) that are connected to each other (connecting flights).
Not only that, said Danang, this new international route also offers more value for businessmen and tourists as well as people from various cities in Indonesia.
The public can choose the nearest transit flight through one of the five airports to continue air travel directly to Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia (KUL).
"The next flight will be served and operated by Malaysia-based Batik Air (OD flight code) for the Kuala Lumpur to Tokyo Narita route," he explained.
On the same occasion, said Danang, it can also contribute as an effort to accelerate economic recovery internationally, the three countries of Indonesia, Malaysia, and Japan in the Asian region in helping to mobilize superior commodities, business opportunities, tourism, education, and other sectors.
"Indonesia to Japan with access to air transportation operated by Batik Air is expected to strengthen bilateral relations between each country in all fields, such as diplomatic relations, trade, education, culture, and others," he said.
