Playing A Gay Character, Mortensen Says He's Not Completely Straight

JAKARTA - Viggo Mortensen made his directorial debut and played the role of a gay character in the film Falling.

The main reason Mortensen played the role himself was because he didn't think he had to pay for a gay actor, which was quite expensive.

However, the question is, the sexual orientation of the Lord of the Rings actor is gay or completely straight?

Mortensen currently lives with his female partner and has a son from a previous marriage to a woman.

Previously he said he might not be completely straight when he took on the role of John in Falling.

"How do you know what my life is? You're assuming I'm completely straight. Maybe yes, maybe no. And it's honestly none of your business, "Mortensen told The Independent recently.

“I want my film to be successful, and I want John's character to be effective. If I don't think it's a good idea, I won't do it, "he concluded.

Falling tells the story of John, a gay man who takes care of his racist and homophobic father, played by Lance Henriksen, after he starts showing symptoms of dementia.
