Commemoration Of The 76th Anniversary Of The Ministry Of Finance, Sri Mulyani: Sigap In Face Of Challenges, Resilient In The Guard Of Recovery
Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani directly led the commemoration ceremony for the 2022 Oeang Day ceremony which is also the 76th Anniversary of the Ministry of Finance.
In his speech, the Minister of Finance explained that the fiscal instrument had just passed a fairly strong dynamics in the last two years when it first faced the COVID-19 pandemic. He said, the State Budget strives to withstand shocks as well as become the main motor of growth in difficult times.
Today, the situation is gradually improving along with the increasingly controlled spread of the pandemic. This momentum is what the government is trying to maintain so that it can quickly lead to a normal period of the economy.
"For this year's commemoration, the theme we have chosen is Sigap in Face of Challenges, Resilient in Recovery," he said at the office complex of the Ministry of Finance on Monday, October 31.
According to the Minister of Finance, the theme was chosen because Punggawa Nagara Dana Rakca (as employees of the Ministry of Finance) must understand very well if even though the COVID-19 pandemic is starting to be controlled, new challenges will continue to be present in the future.
We must respond quickly. The state fiscal and financial policies that are adaptive, responsive, flexible, accountable and transparent and with good governance are the keys to continuing to protect the Indonesian people, the Indonesian economy and the state budget itself," he stressed.
Meanwhile, this year's commemoration of the Ministry of Finance's Anniversary was held physically and was the first since the pandemic era. The Minister of Finance also brought the spirit of the October 28 Youth Pledge which as part of efforts to build a working spirit for the achievement of the targets that had been set.
"I thank the ranks of the Ministry of Finance who have struggled to formulate quite difficult policies during the pandemic. This is a call as well as a sacrifice but also a dedication that is beneficial for Indonesia," he said.
