Issuance Of Travel Prohibition For The Purpose Of Wuhan Only

JAKARTA - The Indonesian government has issued warnings and restrictions for people visiting Hubei Province, especially Wuhan City. This region is known to be the place where the corona virus started, killing 107 people.

"It's true (the government has implemented) a travel warning or ban to Hubei Province including its capital city, Wuhan," Teuku Faizasyah told VOI via text message, Tuesday, January 28.

According to Teuku, the ban on traveling to Hubei Province will continue to be carried out. The ban will be imposed until there is a further notification from the Chinese government stating that the isolation of the area has stopped and it is safe to visit.

Meanwhile, in other regions, Indonesia has not imposed a ban but only issued travel advisors so that those who wish to visit China remain vigilant and cautious.

"Those who plan to travel should be more careful and monitor the development of conditions at the destination, among others, through the safe travel application," he said.

On that occasion, Teuku then explained that the reason for the ban was only carried out on Hubei Province, not China as a whole. According to him, this province is a place where the virus spreads and is isolated.

Meanwhile, other regions in the country have not entered the isolation stage even though there has been the spread of the corona virus.

"That is why the safe travel mechanism continues to be updated according to dynamic developments in the field," he said.

Previously reported, the death toll from the corona virus outbreak (2019-nCoV / Wuhan Flu) in China jumped drastically to 107 people.
