Expressing The Impact Tragedy: The Number Of Witnesses Being Examined By The Police Is Increasing
JAKARTA - Nearly one month after the tragedy of Kanjuruhan, the National Police noted that 93 witnesses had been examined regarding the incident that killed 135 people and hundreds of others were injured on Saturday, October 1.
The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo said the 93 witnesses came from people at the crime scene (TKP), the organizing committee, the PSSI, to 11 expert witnesses. The number of witnesses examined will continue to grow.
"Previously there were 93 witnesses (examined), additional Friday (October 28) examined as many as 15 people," said Dedi, quoting Antara, Sunday, October 30.
Dedi detailed that the additional 15 witnesses consisted of eight witnesses from Steward, namely Deno Sapitri Londoron, Nanang Subekti, Joko Pramono, Mohammad Reza, Nur Kolim, Zainul Arifi, Nawawai, Ahmad Yoni, and Lula Panca.
The next witness, President Director of PT Arema Aremania Berpresasi Indonesia Iwan Budiantor, Share Owner of PT Arema Aremania Bersatu Presidential Indonesia Gilang Widya Pramana, Chairman of PSSI Mochamad Iriawan, Director of Operations of PT LIB Sudjarno, IT Manager of PT LIB Idam Yamin, and ticketing officer Adi Ismanto.
In this case, investigators have named six suspects, namely three suspects from the civilian element and three suspects from the police.
The six suspects are LIB President Director Ahmad Hadian Lukita, Arema Malang Organizing Committee Chair Abdul Haris and Security Officer GUARD Suko Sutrisno.
The three were suspected of violating the provisions of Article 359 and/or Article 360 and/or Article 103 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 52 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 11 of 2022 concerning Sports.
Then three other suspects from the police, namely the Head of Malang Police Ops Kompol Wahyu Setyo Pranoto, Head of Samapta Malang Police AKP Bambang Sidik Achmadi, and the Company Commander (Danki) Brimob Polda East Java initials AKP Hasdarman, violated the provisions of Article 359 and/or Article 360 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of five years in prison.
The two-star general did not deny the possibility of other suspects in the Kanjuruhan Tragedy.
"There is potential (new suspects), waiting for instructions from the prosecutor first," said Dedi. Meanwhile, regarding the difference in the imposition of articles that were suspected of six suspects, according to Dedi, nothing was distinguished.
According to Dedi, the alleged article was based on the testimony of an expert witness in the field of sports, that members of the Police were subject to Article 359 and Article 360 of the Criminal Code for their negligence.
"Police officers have no responsibility in the field of sports facilities and infrastructure. Those who have responsibilities in the field of facilities and infrastructure are the person (panpel and LIB), who audits whether or not stadiums are feasible," said Dedi.
