Via Vallen Becomes a Witness in the Court, a Drunk Man Burnt Her Favorite Alphard Car

SIDOARJO - Singer Maulida Octavia, or known as Via Vallen, became a witness at the car burning case trial at the Sidoarjo District Court, East Java.

Via Vallen came with her sister Mella Rosa. She was also present as a witness at the trial with the defendant Pije at the virtual trial.

"At that time, I received information that there was a car fire from the crew who was in the garage. At the time of the incident, my car was parked next to the house. I was in my room," said Via Vallen at the trial chaired by Judge Dameria Frisella, December 7.

Via Vallen also explained that she knew the perpetrator from the surveillance camera footage next to his house.

"Just before the car caught fire, people were passing by. Shortly after the car exploded, people were running," he said.

Via Vallen admitted that she has no problems with people or neighbors, even with fans.

"I received information that the perpetrator came to my house with the smell of alcohol. But I had not been able to see them because I was in Jakarta at that time," he said.

Meanwhile, the Sidoarjo Prosecutor's General Prosecutor, Ridwan Dermawan, explained that as a good citizen, Via Vallen should come to this trial as a witness.

"As a good citizen, of course, came and gave testimony," he said.

Previously, Pije, the defendant of the metallic white Alphard car burner with the police number W 1 VV belonging to Maulidia Oktavia, aka Via Vallen, began to be tried at the Sidoarjo District Court, Wednesday, December 2.

In the indictment, Pije burnt the car on June 30, 2020, at around 03.20 WIB, which was parked next to the Via Vallen house alley in Kalitengah Selatan village RT 02, RW 03, Kalitengah Village, Tanggulangin District, Sidoarjo Regency.

The victim was estimated to have suffered a loss of IDR 1.065 billion for the burning of the car. Now, the defendant is charged with violating Article 187 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 406 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code. The defendant faces a maximum sentence of 12 years in prison.
