Gerindra Responds To The Electability Of Candidates Anjlok: We Both Know Prabowo Has Not Yet Campaigned
JAKARTA - The Gerindra Party responded casually to the results of the Kompas Research and Development survey which stated that the electability of its General Chair, Prabowo Subianto, had decreased compared to the results of the previous survey. The survey is related to the 2024 presidential candidate.
The daily chairman of the Gerindra DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, assessed that the decline in electability in the survey was a common thing.
"The Kompas Research and Development Survey is about Pak Prabowo's electability, in my opinion, his name is also a fluctuating survey, sometimes it goes up, sometimes it goes down, that's normal," Dasco told reporters, Thursday, October 27.
Moreover, continued Dasco, currently Prabowo has not carried out a campaign because he is still focused on working in the government as Minister of Defense.
"We both know that Pak Prabowo has also not carried out campaigns only to work as Minister of Defense to help the President," said Dasco. The deputy chairman of the DPR then mentioned other figures who often appear in public like campaigns so that the level of electability in various levels becomes high. Regarding who the presidential candidate is, Dasco did not mention names.
"Therefore, in the midst of the activeness of the other candidates in carrying out campaigns, of course it also affects the survey results. And we think it's legal," he continued.
According to Dasco, there is still time to raise Prabowo's electability before the 2024 election. The results of the survey, he said, would be an evaluation material to prepare for Prabowo's campaign.
"The election still has time, and later we will see how the electability of who is the highest," he said.
Previously, Litbang Kompas released the latest survey results related to the electability of the presidential candidate 2024. As a result, Ganjar Pranowo won 23.2 percent. Followed by Prabowo Subianto with 17.6 percent and Anies Baswedan with 16.5 percent. The achievement of Ganjar and Anies Baswedan's survey as presidential candidates in October increased compared to the same survey in June 2022. However, this positive trend did not appear in Prabowo Subianto's electability.
Based on a survey that took place on September 24-7 October 2022, Ganjar's electability was in first place with 23.2 percent. Meanwhile, in the last June survey, Ganjar's electability was 22 percent. So that the electoral level of the Governor of Central Java increased by 1.1 percent.
Meanwhile, Anies' electability is currently at 16.5 percent, an increase of almost 4 percent compared to the previous survey.
In a poll in June 2022, Anies only got 12.6 percent electability. However, this achievement still places Anies' electability in third position.
On the other hand, Prabowo's electability as General Chair of the Gerindra Party this October actually plunged by 7.7 percent.
In the latest Kompas Research and Development survey, Prabowo is in second place with an electoral level of 17.6 percent. In fact, last June, the electability of the former Danjen Kopassus was in first place with 25.3 percent.
