The U-20 Indonesian Team LOST 1-2 To Turkey, Shin Tae-yong: We Played Pretty Well

JAKARTA - The U-20 Indonesian team lost their second test match in Turkey, Wednesday, October 26. Faced with Turkey U-20 in Manavgat Atat Chatuk Stadyumu, Garuda Muda gave up with a score of 1-2.

Dony Tri Pamungkas scored the only Indonesian goal in the 90+1 minute. Meanwhile, Kaygisiz scored Turkey in the 16th minute and Kilicsoy in the 78th minute.

Indonesia U-20 coach, Shin Tae-yong said his team had played quite well in this match, especially in the first half. He also considered that the match was going hard.

"In the first half we played quite well. From today's match, some players got minutes to play," Shin said on PSSI's official website.

Shin revealed that this match against Turkey was the first match for the adaptation of Indonesia U-20 against the European team. As is known, then they will face Moldova U-20.

The South Korean coach has again expressed the shortcomings of his team. If in the previous trial match against Calcalikli Spor Indonesia is weak in pressing and still likes to lose the ball, this time Shin highlighted his team's front line.

According to him, Garuda Muda's front line is still not sharp. In addition, the defense is also still weak in anticipating the opponent's counterattack.

"The problem is indeed from the attack and indeed there is a counter attack from the opponent that we should have prepared to anticipate well," said Shin.

Meanwhile, Dony admitted that Indonesia U-20 was disappointed that it had to lose this match. However, he stated that the players would try to make it even better in the future.

"Communication in the field we will improve again so that we play more okay and compactly," said Dony Tri.

Furthermore, Garuda Nusantara will undergo two test matches against Moldova on November 1 and 4.
