To PM Shtayyeh, Prabowo Strengthens Indonesia's Commitment To Support The Struggle Of The Palestinian People
JAKARTA - Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto reaffirmed Indonesia's commitment to support the struggle of the Palestinian people in determining their own destiny to own their country.
"We will continue to support this struggle. The Indonesian government has emphasized several times that it will continue to help the Palestinian people in a real form," Prabowo said when receiving the official visit of the Palestinian Prime Minister (PM) Mohammed Ibrahim Shtayyeh at the Indonesian Ministry of Defense Office, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, October 26, as reported by Antara.
The forms of humanitarian assistance from the government and the people of Indonesia include building a hospital in Gaza.
"We are also committed to building hospitals in the West Bank and 1943. Our hearts are with you, our prayers are with you. We pray for the Palestinian people," he added.
During the meeting, Prabowo and Shtayyeh discussed the development of the global situation.
Meanwhile, Shtayyeh expressed his gratitude for the remarks given by the Government of Indonesia during his first state visit as prime minister. He also appreciated Indonesia's commitment to working together to achieve world peace and in Palestine.
Shtayyeh respects Indonesia's commitment to always stand solid for the Palestinian people and their rights in determining their own destiny.
"I enjoyed the meeting which was held at the same time as this morning's meal with Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto. We were very well received during this visit by Indonesian President Joko Widodo. Our delegation from the private sector also held a meeting with the Indonesian private sector and this meeting went very well," said Shtayyeh.
