Police Shoot Dead 6 Special Forces Supporting Rizieq Shihab
JAKARTA - Six Special Troops supporting Rizieq Shihab were shot dead by the police. They were shot for attacking the police.
"The MRS group (Muhammad Rizieq Shihab) who attacked the members took firm action and died 6 people," said the Head of Metro Jaya Police, Inspector General Fadil Imran to reporters, Monday, December 7.
Fadil said that the firm action against the six Special Forces began with a police investigation regarding the schedule for examining Rizieq Shihab. The police received information that there would be a mass mobilization.
But when members of the Polda Metro Jaya followed a Special Laskar vehicle on the Jakarta-Cikampek KM 50 toll road, the police suddenly came under attack.
"When members of the PMJ (Polda Metro Jaya) followed a vehicle suspected of being a MRS (Muhammad Rizieq Shihab) follower, the officers' vehicle was intercepted and then attacked using firearms and sharp weapons," said Fadil.
Threatened with assault, the police took action. Six Special Troops were shot dead.
"Members who were threatened with life's safety because of being attacked took decisive measures. So that the group suspected of being MRS followers, which numbered 10 people, died 6 people," he said.
