YOGYAKARTA The development of the National Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago continues. The progress of the IKN Nusantara development continues to be reported.
The construction of a megaproject in East Kalimantan related to IKN was also monitored directly by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Most recently, the President departed from Jakarta to East Kalimantan to see the development of IKN development today, Tuesday, October 25.
As is known, the Government is building IKN Nusantara in Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan. In the future, the government will be carried out through IKN.
Currently, the construction of phase 1 IKN infrastructure is officially starting, marked by the signing of a work contract carried out by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), on August 29, 2022.
During his visit this time, President Jokowi was accompanied by the Minister of PUPR, Basuki Hadimuljono. The President's entourage departed by sea at Semayang Harbor to IKN.
Quoted from Kompas, PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono explained that the progress of IKN development was in the land clearing stage or land clearing. A number of flats have also been built for the workers who handle the project.
The plan is for 22 flats to be built in IKN. Meanwhile, currently, the remaining two flats will be built in stages.
Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (IKN) Bambang Susantono also ensured that physical development in IKN continues to be carried out, including the development of basic infrastructure. His party also ensures the availability of raw water by building the Sepaku Semoi Dam.
"Because water is one of the essentials for the city of the archipelago and for this raw water, we are preparing the Sepaku Semoi Dam," he said at the Pre Market Sounding event for the State Capital Project in Djakarta Theater, Central Jakarta, October 18, 2022, quoted by VOI from Tempo.
Regarding the Sepaku Semoi Dam, Head of the Sepaku-Semoi Dam Development Task Force of the Kalimantan IV River Basin Agency (BWS) of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Zulaidi had reported on the progress of its construction.
He said that the progress of the dam construction had been 70 percent and it was targeted that December 2022 would be completed. Previously, there was a problem with land acquisition for the construction of the dam, but it was targeted that it would all be completed in October 2022.
The construction of dams is not only to meet clean water needs, but is used for flood control and is used as a reservoir tourism area and conversion of the New Tengin River in Sepaku District.
The construction of the Nusantara State Capital Zero Point (IKN) is currently being carried out so that it is temporarily closed to the public. On weekdays, this location becomes the main attraction of the surrounding community.
In the IKN Zero Point area previously, a pavilion has also been built that is beautified with typical East Kalimantan ornaments. On the right side of the pavilion, approximately 100 meters, there is the big inscription "Nol Nusantara Point". This point is used as a tourist location by the surrounding community.
Meanwhile, on the right side of the Nusantara Zero Point article, there is a directional sign that leads to several major cities in Indonesia such as Rote, Papua, Jakarta and others.
To arrive at the location of the IKN Zero Point, tourists must pass through dozens of steps starting from the front page of the pavilion.
