PAPUA - The PK-RVA cargo plane slipped at Aminggaru Ilaga Airport on Tuesday, October 25, at around 09.15 WIT. The airport operation in Puncak Papua Regency was temporarily suspended.
Head of the Aminggaru Airport Management Unit (UPBU) Herman Sujito revealed that the Caravan C 208 B cargo plane belonging to PT. Reven Global Airtransport slipped when it was about to land at Aminggaru Airport.
"There were no casualties in the incident, and currently the plane is trying to be evacuated back to the airport," Herman emphasized when contacted, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, October 25.
Gabriel M's plane was piloted carrying six motorcycles weighing about 600 kg. Including mixed food ingredients weighing 410 kg.
As a result of the slip incident, the plane was damaged on the front tire off, the propeller was bent and the lower fuselage broke.
The Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ahmad Kamal, separately admitted that from the reports received, it was revealed that the plane could not turn right and remained straight until it slipped at the end of the airport.
"Pilots can't turn their planes to the right towards the hangar and stay straight until they slip at the end of the airport," said Kamal.
